Protein Bar Help!

Ashley asks:
Hey Mac! I have a quick question 🙂:) do you have a any suggestions for protein bars? Preferably one that actually tastes good!

I have 2 awesome options for you!

My biggest issue with protein bars is that not only do a lot of them taste terrible, but they often have SO MANY calories that it’s not even worth it!!! Depending on what your goals are macronutrient needs, you will need to find bars that correspond with those needs.
My favorites– Promax bars (every flavor is seriously amazing, but nutty butter crisp, cookie dough, and cookies and cream are all super good) AND they have a low sugar option (it says PROMAX LS on the package) which is awesome too and less calories and lower sugar, obviously!
The ratios for carbs/cals/protein is really good for these bars too. You can get them on sale at albertsons and fred meyer a lot of the time they will be 10 for 10 dollars, or at winco for around $1.30/each.

The other ones I love are called Quest bars. Cinnamon roll is awesome, and PB&J. Microwave it for 10-15 seconds…YUM!!! These bars are good for lower carb days and the texture is really dense, which is different but I really like it for some reason. I haven’t tried a flavor that I didn’t like, and they add a unique quality in the fact that they are low carb, high protein, high fiber, and have no trans fat. Quest bars do not disappoint!!

Both of these brands are also really high in fiber which is a great component in a protein bar.

Try them out and let me know what you think!!
