BEST PROTEIN SHAKES OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!

HI GUYS!

Sorry I have been slacking a little in the posting department, but I wanted to share some of my favorite protein shake recipes that I have acquired over the years. I am at a point now where I can chug down a scoop of protein in a shaker bottle full of water, but protein shakes don’t have to be gross! There are SO MANY awesome recipes and concoctions that are so delicious it almost feels like cheat food. Try some out and let me know what you think! Also, if you have any good recipes you would like me to add, send them my way!

Happy Shakin’ 🙂

Green Tea and Spiced Vanilla Shake
Steep green tea from 2 tea bags. (I will steep tea in a really small amount of hot water so that it is extremely potent but I don’t have to put much hot water into the shake)  You add the green tea, ice, cold water, cinnamon, 1-2 scoop of vanilla protein, and ¼-1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce. BLEND!

Sugar-Free Pudding Mix + ANY FLAVOR PROTEIN
I love adding Sugar-Free pudding mix into my shakes to change up the flavor. My favorite is vanilla protein with butterscotch or pistachio pudding mix. Add a little ice and almond milk and blend

JAVA blast!
Add instant coffee to your shake for a little extra “pick-me-up” in the morning or throughout the day. Add it to vanilla protein for a blended coffee taste, or to chocolate protein for more of a ‘mocha’ feel.

Pumpkin Pie
Vanilla Protein, 1/2 cup canned pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg (optional) almond milk, ice

Butterfinger Heaven
vanilla protein, sugar-free butterscotch pudding mix (1-2 TBS), PB2, almond milk, ice

BROWNIE BATTER
Force Factor makes an awesome protein that is Brownie Batter flavored. Are you kidding me?! Blend with a little milk and ice, or stir into greek yogurt and freeze for a brownie FroYo feel. YUM!

While we are on the topic of FroYo…
I love mixing protein into greek yogurt (or nonfat plain yogurt) and then freezing for 20-30 minutes and eating like frozen yogurt. You can also mix protein into yogurt (or blend for a smoother consistency) and the drop by spoonful onto wax paper. Freeze and grab a few “FroYo drops” whenever a craving comes on. Better than ice cream and SO GOOD FOR YOU!

Hot Chocolate Protein
I love to mix milk and chocolate protein as though I am making a normal chocolate protein shake. I then pour the mixture into a mug and microwave for 1.5-2 minutes. Instant hot chocolate protein goodness. Add cinnamon on top for Mexican Hot Chocolate or mix milk with another protein flavor to make a flavored steamer. Perfect for the holidays and winter time!

Tips&Tricks
-I have learned to use PB2 (powdered peanut butter) instead of regular peanut butter. Same flavor and same healthy fats, but less calories. -Nuts and peanut butter can add a lot of calories that really add up throughout the day.
-I also like to add spinach into my shakes. Blend a handful of spinach into any shake and although it changes the color a little, it really doesn’t change the flavor. If you have trouble getting leafy green veggies into your diet, this is the perfect way!

  1. we used to have that green tea one alllll the time for a while there.. 🙂
i need to try the butterfinger one!
    miss you!

    1. I know! That green tea one is SO good. Always reminds me of our workout days!! And the butterfinger one is DELISH!!!! I will see you in less than a week and we can make it together 🙂

    1. I just add to my liking for taste. It doesnt take a ton, but you could start with a few tablespoons, blend and taste it and add more if you desire a little more of the pudding’s flavor 🙂

      1. Thank you. I make these w/fruit and other additives for my wife and I wanted to venture into a different flavor or 2 and mainly just a non-sugar drink as a change of pace. She likes the one I make w/unsweetened chocolate I recently made so I’m sure she’ll like this one as well.

      2. That’s awesome! It’s always fun to switch it up and try something new. The green tea/vanilla/cinnamon recipe I posted is really delicious too. I like switching up different flavors and combinations while still staying healthy conscious and not adding too much added sugar. Good luck!!
